This document forms the storage and preservation instructions as referred to in Article 13.1 of the General Terms and Conditions of Sale of Legro.
This document describes the general guidelines for the storage and preservation of supplied products. Proper storage is essential to maintain the product Legro's physical, chemical, and biological properties as effectively as possible during the storage period.
These guidelines apply to all companies within the Legro Group and cover, among other things, potting mixes, substrates, soil conditioners, raw materials, soil cover and related products, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
If specific storage or storage instructions are stated on the packaging, label, product information or other documentation provided, these must always be followed. In case of conflict between such product Legro -specific instructions and the provisions of this storage and storage instruction, the product-specific instructions shall prevail.

- Products should be stored dry to prevent unwanted leaching or changes in nutrient levels.
- With prolonged storage, product-specific properties, including the availability of nutrients, can change.
4. Specific points of attention for earth products
- Packed deckard products naturally contain moisture. In the first period after production and packaging, moisture may escape from the packaging. This phenomenon is a normal consequence of the production and packaging process and in itself does not constitute an indication of a quality defect.
- Packaging must be stored in such a way that any moisture that escapes does not cause any damage or inconvenience.
5. Storage by packaging form
5.1 Bulk products
- Store on a clean, hard surface.
- Avoid mixing with other materials.
- Protecting against rainwater and contamination.
- Storage heaps should be designed and managed in such a way that the stability is maintained and undesirable heating, loss of quality and safety risks are prevented as much as possible.
5.2 Big Bales / Big Bags
- Store on a flat, stable surface.
- Preferably stored indoors. If storage takes place outdoors, products should be adequately covered or protected.
- Do not use big bag lifting loops for long-term hanging.
- Prevent damage to the foil or packaging.
- Protection against weather influences, direct sunlight and prolonged exposure to UV radiation.
5.3 Bags and consumer packaging
- Preferably stored inside.
- If stored outside, only on pallets and protected from weather influences.
- Damaged packaging should be repaired as quickly as possible or processed separately.
6. Storage duration
The quality of products can change during storage due to biological, chemical and physical processes.
Therefore, the following applies:
- If a shelf life, expiration date or recommended use period is stated on the packaging, it must be followed.
- If no shelf life or use by date is specified, information about the recommended storage period can be obtained from the manufacturer.
- In case of doubt about the suitability of a stored product, the manufacturer should be consulted beforehand.
- Legro No guarantee can be given for maintaining product specifications if the recommended storage periods are exceeded.
7. Deviations and liability
If storage takes place in violation of these guidelines, any claims of quality, warranty, or product-specific claims shall be void insofar as the relevant defect, deviation, or damage can reasonably be attributed to improper storage. The customer is responsible for complying with the storage instructions included in this document. Legro The customer accepts no liability for any loss of quality, product damage, or consequential damage resulting from improper storage, improper handling, or exceeding the recommended storage duration by the customer.
For questions regarding the storage, shelf life or suitability of products, the purchaser should contact Legro the relevant entity before using the product.
